The unpleasantness sort is getting in an ever widening margin famous with the top ranks in Bollywood. From A-record actors to presumed handling houses, the yield of ghastliness films has, the greater part of a sudden, demonstrated an upward incline lately. Additionally, frightfulness in Hindi pictures is no longer restricted to apparitions or skeletons. Its about extrapolating the feeling called fear most valiantly.

With the 3D innovation making a huge sprinkle over the globe, the movement of making loathsomeness pictures in 3D has as of recently gotten on in Bollywood. Vikram Bhatts HAUNTED, DANGEROUS ISHHQ and RAAZ 3 and Ramgopal Varmas BHOOT RETURNS depicted spooky tales in 3D. While I am not against this engineering, I am happy Suparn Verma ruled against making AATMA in 3D in light of the fact that this ones a mental thriller --to a greater degree a human acting piece --and the 3D glasses wouldve just functioned as a barricade.

In the first place things to begin with, AATMA is *not* the quintessential ghastliness picture. Its not in the ballpark of a spooky house or a tormented spirit thirsting for vengeance. It has layers. It has extraordinary components. It handles a harsh association. Its around the range of an in number zealous holding between a mother and kid. Basically, its the battle between a lady and her dead spouse over their youngster. An engaging notion without mistrust, however what runs across on screen is this disappointment!

AATMA portrays the story of a mother who should battle to keep her girl protected from the apparition of her father. Mayas [Bipasha Basu] peace lies shattered when she uncovers that her spouse [Nawazuddin Siddiqui] expects to take their little girl, Nia [Doyle], with him to his planet. The universe of the dead!

To give the credit where its unpaid, AATMA doesn resort to shocking, sickening visuals. Its level on carnage, however heightened on climate and state of mind. Sadly, Suparn presents the age-old convictions without giving another turn to the battle between the dead and living. The picture is spiked with been-there-perceived-that sort of scenarios. To aggravate matters, Suparn utilizes reminiscent visuals and an unsettling story to make a spooky environment, however it doesn convey any panic. Its grandest weakness is, it joins a ton of stuns in the story, yet no legitimate amazements. Yet a different deficient perspective is its determination, which, conceivably, shouldve been the highpoint. Case in point the pacing is excessively abate for a mental thriller.

Certainly, Suparn runs his inner consciousness wild in a few groupings, however those lumps are few and far between. Cinematography catches the pervasive tension well. The sound value, the help of this class, is proper. The underpinning score, shockingly, is not as impactful.

Bipasha tasted blood with RAAZ 3 and in AATMA, she gets to depict the mid character once more: A tormented housewife and an upset mother. Notwithstanding, unlike RAAZ 3, AATMA doesn offer her the platform to exhibit her acting aptitudes, even though the talented performing artist makes her absolute best. Nawazuddin, who won shrubs in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR and TALAASH a year ago, raids into standard Bollywood with AATMA. Incredibly, he too doesn get any extension to demonstrate his accreditations. Doyel, the tyke creator, handles her part eminently. Shernaz Patel is without a doubt. Darshan Jariwala is successful. Jaideep Ahlawat gets negligible extension. Shiv Subramaniam doesn inspire.

All in all, AATMA stands on a powerless script. Plus, there are scarcely any alarms here. Disillusioning!
